Career Goals

I want to use the versatility of nature to make the world a better place.

After starting my college career in 2019, I fell in love with plant sciences. I originally committed to NC State on a microbiology track, but quickly switched to plant biology after only one semester. Over the years, my knowledge and skills have been specialized towards plant microbiology and biotechnology from my rigorous coursework and undergraduate research experience. Being somewhat of a 'lab rat', my aspiration is to work for a plant biotechnology company in their research labs, genetically engineering plants to fit our needs as humans. Eventually, I aim to work my way up the chain and become a senior scientist or program manager, conducting my own research while staying business-oriented.
