Get Involved

There are a wide variety of opportunities that await you.  From community service activities, after school programs, competitions, livestock shows, and even camps and conferences, you will have extraordinary opportunities to grow and develop as a leader.  Learn about topics that interest you from robotics and computer programming to food and nutrition.  You can be as involved as you would like to be.  Staff at the Alamance County Cooperative Extension Office along with your club leaders are available to point you in the direction you choose.

Achievement Night

March 22

Join the 2023-2024 County Council team for a night of celebration as we recognize all the wonderful things our 4-H members achieved during 2023. This event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

Roadside Cleanup Day

March 23

Are you in need of community service or volunteer hours? Come out on Saturday, March 23rd for a roadside cleanup! We will be picking up trash and debris along the roads outside the Alamance 4-H office.

Teen Retreat

April 12-13

Branch out with 4-H! Youth ages 13-18 are invited to join the North Central District for Teen Retreat on April 12-13 at Betsy-Jeff Penn! Youth will participate in workshops, community service project, a dance and talent show! District officers will also be elected! 

When: April 12th-13th

Where: Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Center

Who: Youth ages 13-18 as of January 1, 2024

North Central District 4-H Rabbit Show

May 4th

Forsyth County Extension Center- 1450 Fairchild Rd Winston Salem, NC


Youth who are interested in showing their rabbit are invited to register for the NCD 4-H Rabbit Show! 4-H members age 5-18 are welcome to compete with a rabbit that they raised and have taken care of. Registration is $5 and is due to Alamance County 4-H at the time of registration. All 4-H members ages 5-7 will receive prizes and ribbons for their efforts. 4-H members 8-18 will have the opportunity to win ribbons and gift cards.


All 4-H members ages 8-18 are required to complete a Project Record Book. Ages 5-7 may complete a record book as well, but is not required. Project Record Books are due to 4-H Agent Sarah Maddry by April 19th.
