Cost

Price Breakdown:

Due upon acceptance: $300 non-refundable deposit paid to All Japan Tours ($200 for your spot on the trip, $100 for airfare).

Remaining Trip Balance: $3,130 paid to All Japan Tours. Installments and Payment Plans can be coordinated with the travel company.

Airfare: Approximately $1,900. Rates change daily and the price will depend on the cost of flights when the travel company books the tickets. The $100 flight deposit will be applied towards the $1,900 ticket.

Travel Insurance: Students are required to purchase travel insurance for international trips. Estimate $125-$250. We are working with our travel company to see if they have a recommended vendor!

Airport Transfer between NCSSM and RDU: $50 paid to SCSSI

Additional costs to support chaperone travel: $200 to SCSSI

REFUNDABLE Emergency deposit: $300 to SCSSI to cover emergency situations, including price difference if another student cannot travel at the last minute, if there are any emergency situations while we are abroad, etc. Will be refunded if not used (and hopefully we won't need it!)

Additional costs while in Japan: Lunches are not included in the trip price, but are generally very cheap in Japan. Budget $15-20 per day for lunches, to be safe. Students also should budget for souvenirs and other shopping they plan to do! (Trip price DOES include breakfasts and dinners!)

This brings the estimated price to $6,100. Price might fluctuate based on your travel insurance plan, how much your student plans to spend on souvenirs, and final airfare costs. You should also consider the price of international phone plans, if you would like to purchase one for your child.
