關於本校 - About RCLS

北卡洛麗中文學校NC Raleigh Chinese Language School (RCLS）是由一群熱心的華語教育學者於1977年在北卡羅來納州立大學 (North Carolina State University, NCSU) 校園內創立，於1996年正式註冊為美國非營利組織 (Nonprofit Organization)，專門從事學齡前兒童、幼稚園到高中青少年的華語和正體字/繁體字教學。洛麗中文學校華語語言課程於2009年獲得了威克郡公立學校系統Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) 的認證。

洛麗中文學校在周六上午上課，從 9:40AM 開始兩小時的語言課程 (22個不同級別)，於 11:50AM 開始一小時的文化課程 (7個科目)。學校的課程安排基於韋克郡公立學校系統 (WCPSS) 的傳統行事曆 (Traditional School Calendar)，該行事曆包括 春季和秋季學期。有關課程的詳細信息，請查看 “學校教務” 下的 “課程” 頁面。

RCLS自2007以前即曾申請並接受臺灣僑務僑委會贈送教材或經費補助，是列入臺灣僑務委會(Overseas Community Affairs Council, R.O.C/Taiwan) 備查僑校的海外老字號華裔中文學校。近年來經由亞特蘭大華僑文教服務中心與僑委會有著密切聯繫和定期合作。2002年1月，北卡洛麗中文學校在僑委會輔導下成立【洛麗臺灣華語文學習中心 Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in Raleigh】，成為提供當地18歲以上人士學習華語文及推廣具臺灣華語文教學之重要據點之一。

RCLS 與社區有著密切的關係，包括共享資源和共同贊助文化活動。多年來，RCLS 與當地藝術中心博物館，學校和其他非營利組織合作，以支持其文化計劃和活動。

NC Raleigh Chinese Language School (RCLS) was founded in 1977 on the campus of North Carolina State University (NCSU) by a group of passionate Chinese language education scholars. It officially registered as a nonprofit organization in 1996, specializing in teaching Chinese language / Mandarin and traditional Chinese characters to preschool, kindergarten, middle and high school students. The Raleigh Chinese Language School's Chinese language program received accreditation from the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) in 2009.

The Raleigh Chinese Language School holds classes on Saturday mornings, starting with two hours of language classes (22 different levels) at 9:40 AM, followed by one hour of cultural classes (7 subjects) at 11:50 AM. The school's curriculum is based on the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) Traditional School Calendar, which includes both spring and fall semesters. RCLS has been applying for and receiving teaching materials or financial subsidies from the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) of Taiwan since before 2007, making it a long-established overseas Chinese-language school listed in the OCAC's register. In recent years, it has maintained close contact and regular cooperation with the OCAC through the Atlanta Overseas Chinese Cultural and Educational Service Center. In January 2002, under the guidance of the OCC, the North Carolina Raleigh Chinese School established the Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning in Raleigh, becoming an important base for providing Mandarin learning opportunities for local residents aged 18 and over and promoting Taiwanese Mandarin teaching.

RCLS maintains close relationships with the community, including sharing resources and co-sponsoring cultural activities. For many years, RCLS has collaborated with local art centers, museums, schools, and other non-profit organizations to support their cultural programs and activities.

Through its on-site and outreach programs, RCLS is to provide high quality instruction in Chinese language and culture to students of all backgrounds and to promote cross-cultural understanding and cultural diversity in the community.

RCLS 招收任何種族、膚色、國籍和族裔的學生，並賦予他們與所有其他學生相同的權利、特權、參與計畫和活動的機會。學校在教育政策、招生政策、獎學金和其他學校管理計畫的實施過程中，不因種族、膚色、國籍或族裔而歧視任何學生。

RCLS admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and other school-administered programs.
