12 Steps to Concept-Based Unit Development

Are you a teacher who has been looking for a quality professional development course just for social studies? Are you interested in learning more about developing a concept-based curricula and teaching units? Do you need renewal credits in the academic area of social studies? 

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, there is a NEW course in NCEES just for you.  The “12 Steps to Concept-Based Unit Development” is a self-paced course designed to help social studies educators grow in their understanding of concept-based instruction and the basic steps involved in the process of developing concept-based curriculum units.

The course will run for three months, opening on February 1 and closing on May 1.
40 hours = 4.0 Content/ Subject Area CEUs
