Specialized committees tend to be smaller GA rooms dealing with regional issues, or specific topics that stray away from the usual DISEC/SOCHUM etc. topics. These committees can sometimes be historical or have the delegate play people instead of governing bodies. There is a wide range of options. In general, many rules from GA’s still apply, though depending on your chair's discretion the committee may receive updates as time elapses, similar to crisis. Additionally, with less delegates, expect to be called on more, and to play a bigger role in your bloc.
Typically, a position paper for a specialized committee is structured nearly identically to that in a GA, although you typically will be expected to represent a more specific set of views, especially when you represent a person. Generally, the first paragraph should give background on the issue of debate with regard to how it affects your person or nation to contextualize your position. The second paragraph should specifically state what you position is. The third paragraph should outline specific solutions you will attempt to address in your resolution, keeping your position in mind. More specific writing tips are listed on the GA page.
