Western Region Jazz MPA will be held on Friday May 8 and Saturday May 9 at Hibriten High School in Lenoir, NC. The school address is Hibriten High School 1350 Panther Trail, Lenoir, NC 28645.

• Registration cost is $175 per ensemble and all checks need to be made out to NCMEA. All checks need to be postmarked by April 11th.  

• There is a two step registration process. 

     1. Use this online registration link  2025 West Region Jazz MPA Registration Link to register your band 

     2. Complete and sign the PDF Registration Form. Mail a copy of your current NAfME card (now that cards are no longer being 

sent out you can email a screenshot if you prefer,) and School/Booster Check or Money Order and completed form to the 

address below.  Personal checks will not be accepted.  Checks are payable to NCMEA with "West Jazz MPA" in the memo 

line.

• Please make sure to not repeat any pieces your groups have performed for the last two years for Middle School and three years for High School for Jazz MPA.. The only requirement is that you play three pieces of contrasting styles, for example  swing, latin and rock. And of course NO SIGHTREADING. 

• Full ensembles and Combos are allowed, this will be a very relaxed event for our students and one that they will have a positive experience. 

• All scheduling concerns will be considered on a first received basis
