2020-21 Course Verification

The electives your student has chosen will be used to build your student’s schedule with their core classes. There is NO guarantee your student will get their top choices; we will do our best to accommodate their request. Please keep in mind that schedules are built based upon availability, student need, and class sizes. (The “Student Course Request” is NOT your student’s schedule. It is only used to create your student’s schedule.)

If we do not receive an updated “Student Course Request” from you by Friday, June 12th., your student’s 2020/2021 schedule will be built using the original choices made during forecasting. Students’ final schedules will be available at registration in August.

Important Reminders:

• Schedules may need to be adjusted for any student needing an additional course or support class to meet graduation requirements.
• All 9^th and 10^th graders will have a Study Hall, AVID, or a support class as part of their schedule.
• All 9^th, 10^th and 11^th grade students will have a full 8-period schedule.
• All 12^th graders may have 1-2 excused periods per semester, provided they have the classes needed for graduation in their schedule (we strongly encourage them to use this time to focus on academics, apply for scholarships, and/or connect with teachers and coaches).
• All students participating in athletics or competing in the performing arts must have 6 classes in their schedule; this allows a student to remain academically eligible.
