The Milwaukie Counseling team serves all students from both Milwaukie High School and Milwaukie Academy of the Arts. Our mission as high school counselors at MHS/MAA is to support students in feeling empowered to shape their future academic goals, cultivate their personal/social & mental health, and develop career aspirations.
The Milwaukie High School and Milwaukie Academy of the Arts School Counseling model is organized by grade level, with each School Counselor being assigned to a graduating class. This means that once you finish your current grade level, your School Counselor moves up too. We are with you, focused only on your specific grade-level expectations, every year!
If you are enrolling with Milwaukie for the following school year, please reach out to the School Counselor who represents your current grade level.
Your school counselors offer many services beyond scheduling and enrollment. In line with the American School Counselor Association's comprehensive counseling model, we offer comprehensive services in academic, personal/social, and college & career capacities.
These services may look like:
Brief, solution-focused individual counseling,
