LATEST NEWS: HUGE HAWK KUDOS to senior A-Choir member and officer Frankie Shorey who competed in the OSAA Solo Music State Competition on April 27th at PSU. Frankie placed 4th and won a medal at State! Congratulations to her for her smart and excellent work in music. We are proud of your work and musicianship Frankie!!

CONGRATULATIONS to senior Madison Browne for being accepted into NW Mixed Honor Choir sponsored by ACDA to be held in Spokane, WA during January 2024!!  Madison was accepted after passing a RIGOROUS audition and making the Oregon cut.  Her audition recordings were then passed on to the regional judges who listened to the best audition recordings from Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska.  She is one of the BEST of the BEST sopranos in 6 Northwestern states.  YAY MADISON!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING CHS/ANHS VARSITY A-CHOIR MEMBERS ACCEPTED INTO OREGON OMEA ALL-STATE CHOIR FOR 2024!!  This audition was RIGOROUS and these students made the Oregon cut and are among the BEST 100 soprano, alto, tenor, and bass students in all of Oregon!

ALL home concerts are free.

• Home Fall Choir Concert: October 17, 2023 Tuesday at ANHS in our new auditorium!

• Home Holiday Choir Concert: 7pm, December 13, 2023 Thursday - at Clackamas HS!  Combined with ANHS Choirs.

• Home Spring Sing Concert: 7pm, February 27, 2024 Tuesday with CHS A-Choir only and all feeder school choirs for both high schools at CHS! (featuring Rock Creek MS Advanced Choir)

• Home Spring Sing Concert: 7pm, February 28, 2024 Wednesday with ANHS A-Choir only and all feeder school choirs for both high schools at ANHS! (featuring Happy Valley MS Advanced Choir and Verne Duncan Elementary School Choir)

• Home Spring Choir Concert:  March 20, 2024 Wednesday at ANHS!

• Home End of Year Concert and Awards:  May 31, 2024 Friday.  ANHS Choirs combined with Clackamas choirs at Clackamas HS!  ANHS Choirs.  ICE CREAM FEED!

• If you would like to join a choir come see Mr. Davis for a quick and easy meet n' greet.  He wants to meet you!  NO preparation required. You'll find him in room F161 at ANHS.  EMAIL if that is easier!

Welcome to the Vocal Music Page!

Teaching anything about singing (solo or ensemble) and guitar is my responsibility at Nelson HS.  Teaching music is a blessing to me.  As you browse these music pages you'll find useful information about music at ANHS.  If you are a student, you'll need this information to perform well in choir classes.  If you are a parent or guardian, these pages inform you of how this department operates smoothly and what is expected of your child.

We've tried to make these pages fun.  You'll find pictures of our HS choir programs as well as pages explaining department policies like attendance, homework/grading, etc.
