NCCAT BTOY Process:
1. Timeline (see Selection Schedule)
2. Portfolio requirements: completed BTOY application; three letters of reference (administrator, colleague or parent/ guardian) ; 2 essays completed by the nominee; 2 essays completed by others
3. Each school district and charter school will choose a nominee
4. Each Regional Education Service Alliance and DPI Office of Charter Schools will select three finalists giving a total of 27 regional winners
5. Regional winners will attend a celebration and week of Teacher Leadership at NCCAT’s Cullowhee campus December 2-6, 2019 during which time the NCCAT BTOY Selection Committee will review and interview the 27 finalists
6. The winner of the NCCAT BTOY will be announced at a celebration dinner on December 5th 2019
