Mentorship Program

Our vision is to foster one-on-one connections between clinical research professionals.

Our mission is to build an interconnected network of clinical research professionals that promotes coaching, guidance, career advice and exposure to available career paths.

The NCC-ACRP Mentorship Program is a structured initiative designed to accelerate the career development for early-career clinical research professionals by pairing them with experienced clinical research professionals. This program will help facilitate a relationship between mentor and mentee that will grow over the career of both individuals.

The program will strive to foster a culture of diversity and free of bias.

The program pairs experienced clinical research professionals with emerging talent across pharmaceutical companies, CRO's, clinical sites, and medical device companies. Potential mentees must be members of the Northern California Chapter of the ACRP and maintain it throughout their participation in the mentorship program. Mentors and mentees will be matched for 7 months of active participation.

Program Structure: 

• Seven-month commitment starting in April 2027.

• Mentor/mentee pairs meet once every 1-2 months during the seven-month period for 30-60 minutes (virtual meetings; in-person meetings are possible if the mentor's time and schedule allows).

Core Objectives:

• Career navigation: Clarify career pathways across the clinical research sector.

• Industry exposure: Provide insight into sponsor, CRO, site, and biotech environments.

• Network expansion: Build meaningful and cross-functional relationships within the clinical research ecosystem. 

• General professional development: Soft skills development (professional communication, navigating early career challenges).
