Pathway Hypotheses Knowledge-base (PHK) will serve as a powerful new Knowledge Source for discovering and characterizing unidentified molecular interactions and relationships from omic data sources, pathway knowledgebases, and at an advanced stage, from clinical datasets. PHK will be based on an existing knowledge representation called Bayesian Knowledge Bases (BKBs) that has demonstrated advantages for aggregating information in support of reasoning across probabilistic networks and uncertain environments. BKB strategies pioneered by the PI of this proposal have been developed for a range of challenges in domains including health-care, knowledge discovery, cultural socio-modeling, intent and decision-modeling, cybersecurity and ontology.
