Welcome back from the organising committee.
A series of 3 talks providing practical hints and top tips for a successful interview, accessible and effective communication of science, and making your science sustainable.
I am the Inclusion Coordinator for the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS), working on developing inclusive recruitment and engagement practises across the organisation.
I have worked at NCAS for nearly six years and have worked in several roles and different teams.
Over this time I have supported events, administration, recruitment, and advocated for equality, diversity and inclusion, including managing our Community for Change initiative.
My role now sees me facilitating recruitment and taking part in interview panels, onboarding and supporting our staff.
I'm a communications specialist with a passion for bringing science and society together.
I manage the Communications Team at the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS), ensuring communications run through all our work as a world-leader in atmospheric research and innovation.
I enjoy interpreting expert knowledge and practices, to ensure conversations and decisions about environmental change are rooted in robust evidence.
I’m passionate about supporting people to communicate in effective and accessible ways - reflecting the diversity of people, roles, and ideas within and beyond science e.g. by working with the arts.
I’m a dynamic facilitator, a driving force for collaborations, and an advocate for putting people and society at the heart of science stories.
Sophie is the Environmental Sustainability Manager for NCAS and leads the work in understanding the impact of our science on the environment and improving what we do.
As she's unable to attend the meeting Louise, the Education and Staff Development Manager will lead the discussion on the things that we can all do to make our science more sustainable.
