College Fairs offer a unique opportunity to connect with colleges in a way that online research just can't match. The chance to talk directly to someone from the school, ask those personal, specific questions, and get a feel for the culture and vibe can be a game changer.
Another benefit of college fairs is the ability to compare different schools in real-time. You can visit multiple booths, chat with several representatives, and get a sense of how each institution stands out in terms of academics, resources, and overall student experience. It's like a live, interactive version of the research process!
These events are typically hosted in the summer and fall. I will post upcoming events and fairs below, but you can always check these websites:

The Regional Officers of Admissions of The Rockies (ROAR) is composed of college admissions professionals who represent colleges and universities outside the state of Colorado. Members work closely with students and families in Colorado while partnering with high school and independent counselors throughout the state. All of these out-of-state institutions are RMACAC and/or NACAC members and have dedicated the necessary resources to have a regional office to serve Coloradans by providing information on out-of-state educational opportunities.

University of Colorado Boulder, Boulder, CO, USA
Representatives from two-year and four-year colleges, nursing schools, business schools and trade schools will participate in the 2025 Denver National College Fair which will be held on Saturday, October 25 at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Officers and enlisted personnel from the various branches of the military services will also be on hand to discuss the military’s enlistment and education programs such as R.O.T.C., the military academies and the GI Bill.
This fair will also include designated exhibit space for STEM and Performing & Visual Arts programs.
The College Fair is a timesaving opportunity for students and parents to gather a lot of information at one time. In addition to inquiries about course offerings and majors, students and parents can ask questions about campus life, sports teams, clubs and other student activities. College reps may also provide detailed information regarding financial aid.
In addition to asking questions, students and parents will be able to set up college interviews, pick up literature and learn about the various financial aid programs available.
Review the list of participating colleges and make a list of the booths you’d like to visit. To make the best use of your time at the Fair, visit nacacfairs.org/ncf to register for a personal bar code. When you visit the college booths, the reps will scan your bar code, automatically accessing your information. This will leave you more time to engage in one-on-one conversation. You can also use the computers provided at the convention site, but be aware that lines may be long at the registration tables. Your goal is to have as much time as possible to talk with the reps at their booths.
