The ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test is used for enlistment purposes, and it’s a powerful tool for career exploration. With access to interest inventories, career matching tools, and the AFQT score (used for enlistment qualification), students can gain a well-rounded understanding of where they excel.
The Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT), a subscore generated from the ASVAB, is especially important for those considering enlisting. The AFQT score helps determine eligibility for military service and can guide students toward specific military occupational specialties. A minimum score of 31 will satisfy Colorado's graduation requirement.
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) helps uncover strengths students didn’t know they had (whether in electronics, mechanics, health care, or logistics), opening doors to a wide range of careers in the military.

Teach for America Colorado and Immigrant Services Program at MSU Denver are hosting a free FAFSA/CASFA application night for students and families on Tuesday, Feb. 17, with free food and support in English and Spanish.
Before submitting this form, you must request a Letter of Recommendation in person and receive a verbal agreement from the teacher.
The ideal time to request Letters of Recommendation is during Quarter 4 of your junior year. Requests should be made no later than one month before the application deadline.
Please respond thoughtfully and in detail. The more specific information you provide, the stronger and more personalized your letter will be.
The information you provide in this form will be used by teachers and the Post-Graduate Advisor to write your letters of recommendation.
The Letter of Recommendation Request Form, LOR Parent Brag Form, and the student’s resume must all be completed and submitted at least one month prior to the requested deadline. You understand your teachers and advisor will not start the letter without all the information complete, including the Parent Brag google form.
To save time and strengthen your applications, it is strongly recommended that you draft your responses in a separate document before copying and pasting them into the form. Store this document in your college application folder. You can reuse and adapt these responses for college essays, scholarship applications, and other materials. Don’t duplicate your work!
Be sure to submit this form using your school email address.

"There are things that are bigger and more worthwhile than the things we see about us, the things we live and strive for. Let us stand on tiptoe, forgetting the nearer things, and grasp what we may."
