ABOUT ME

Hello! I am Camille Parker, and I am delighted to be teaching fourth grade! I am a life-long learner and truth-seeker. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Colorado nearly 20 years ago with my husband, Ryan. We were blessed to adopt our daughter, Emma, as an infant, and we enjoy an open adoption with her birth family. 

I enjoy reading, playing the piano and the guitar, and singing. Together, my family and I love to get outside for paddle boarding, hiking, and going for walks around our neighborhood. We also enjoy traveling, cooking, baking, and inviting friends and family over for shared meals and conversation. 

I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a degree in Applied Health, and was formerly a financial advisor before turning my attention to classical education. Taking time to stay at home with my daughter for several years was a great joy, and I am excited to apply my varied background and interests to create an enriching fourth grade experience as we pursue the true, the good, and the beautiful together! 

Many of you know our Teacher’s Assistant, Ms. Ruzanna Vartanova. Ms. Vartanova is entering her fifth year at Ascent, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience which she will use in both fourth grade classrooms. Ms. Vartanova enjoys dancing, hiking, paddle boarding, traveling, and yoga.
