ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm so glad for the opportunity to teach your child for the 2025-2026 school year. 

Let me begin by saying where I'm from. I am a third culture kid who has spent a significant portion of my early years growing up in Eastern Africa. I attended private British schools there and wore uniforms just like we do here at Ascent. 

During my college years, in Oregon, I made many Japanese friends and got hooked on Asia. In the process of pursuing my interest in the region, I ended up spending over 4 years teaching in Japan and two years teaching in Thailand where I met my beautiful wife and best friend. 

I'm exited to be at Ascent Classical Academy this year! The promotion of neatness and order is similar to what I grew up with and I love the idea we have here that virtue is part of a child's educational experience. Finally, I'm exited for the abundance of rich learning material that we are going to cover together!
