Help Us Teach the Grinch About the Holidays!
The Grinch's heart is two sizes too small! We think it's because his senses are all mixed up and he can't appreciate the "Winter Wonders" of the season.
Join the SHTEAM Punks as we "flip the script" and guide the Grinch on a sensory adventure. We've set up a workshop full of fun, hands-on SHTEAM stations to scientifically (and creatively!) prove that the holidays are something to be celebrated.
Grab your event passport and visit our stations to explore:
• Science Experiments: Get hands-on with festive, fun science!
• Sensory Experiments: Explore the sights, sounds, and smells of the holidays.
• Art & Crafts: Make your own unique, holiday-themed creations.
• Storytelling: Listen to tales and use your imagination in our story corner.
• Ecology Exhibit: Discover the "Winter Wonders" of the North Texas animal and plant kingdoms
...and many more activities, including holiday-themed coloring and card-making stations!
A Note for Parents & Guardians: This is a free, family-friendly event, not a drop-off camp. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their visit.
Our event is in the Administration Conference Tower (ACT), the tall clock tower building located just west of Brackenridge Hall.
We recommend the following parking options for visitors:
• Oakland Parking Garage: A convenient visitor garage located on Oakland Street.
• Visitor Metered Parking: A paid visitor lot is located on Administration Drive, just north of Brackenridge Hall (next to the ACT building).
• Street Parking: Free street parking may be available on Oakland Street and other surrounding streets.
We recommend giving yourself a few extra minutes to find parking and navigate to the building.
