Hello! My name is Nicole guzman, and I am the Student Body President for the 2025 - 2026 school year. When I began high school, I did not plan on being a member of the council - I was so scared! Now, I’m proud to say that I have been a member of our Student Council since my Freshman year of high school. I am also a member of Dr. Johnson's District Student Advisory Board. Joining Student Council helped me put myself out there and allowed me to meet new people. I'm someone who wants to create a stronger sense of unity in our school community. I want to see students put forth their own ideas and goals. In the past 4 years, I’ve learned the importance and the strength a person's voice has - to use it, is quite possibly our largest power.
Hi everyone! My name is Katie Mendoza, your Vice President for 2024 - 2025 and 2025 - 2026. As a member of the Class of 2026, I've been involved in Student Council since middle school, where I developed my leadership skills. I've also served on the New Brunswick Student Council Executive Board since my freshman year. My goal when I first became involved in the Student Council was to amplify everyone's voices and increase school pride. I believe our school has immense potential, and I'm grateful to be a part of the positive change. Beyond Student Council, I play first base on the Varsity Softball Team and am also a member of the National Honors Society, a Rutgers Upward Bound Scholar, and President of the Student Athletic Committee. I'm passionate about helping others and hope to make a lasting impact. I hope we continue to grow and strive for the best always!
Hey everyone! My name is Jayden Alberto, and I am your 2025-2026 Student Council Communications Director! I am a member of the class of 2027 and have been a part of student council my sophomore year where I quickly showed my loyalty to the club and was elected on to the executive board. I am in charge of maintaining our instagram page, coordinating daily announcements, and making sure there is clear communication within our team. I joined Student Council to help make everybody’s voices feel heard and understood in our school. I believe that our school should be just as amazing as my peers can imagine it to be. Aside from student council, I am a part of the Boys Varsity Volleyball team, National Honors Society, a Rutgers Future Scholar, the SEEDS College Scholars Program, Theater Production, and a manager for our Girls Volleyball team. I love applying my leadership traits everywhere I go and leaving an impact on others. I can’t wait to keep doing so with my time on student council until I graduate!
Hi everyone! My name is Scarlett Lopez, and I’m one of your Events Coordinators for the 2025-2026 School year! I've been a member of the Student Council since my sophomore year, and throughout my time here, I have grown to love organizing and planning events that bring students together. As our Events Coordinator, I enjoy turning ideas into memorable experiences and working alongside my leadership team to make each event special. Student Council has been one of the most meaningful parts of my high school experience, cherishing the memories I've made. From planning to problem solving I'm very grateful to have been given this opportunity. Alongside my role in Student Council, I have dedicated my time to various places such as being part of the Executive Board as Secretary in the National Honor Society, the Rutgers Future Scholars Program, and NBHS Softball Team. Every experience I've had has contributed to my growth as both a leader and person, and I'm excited to carry these lessons with me for the future!
Hello guys! I'm Michele Garcia, and I'm one of your event coordinators for the 2025-2026 school year! I joined the student council my sophomore year after transferring, mostly just to meet new people. I never expected to love it as much as I do now, and I definitely couldn't have imagined myself here back then. Being an event coordinator has pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it’s also shown me how much I love planning events that help students create memories they’ll cherish. I value listening to student ideas because my goal is to create a fun, welcoming environment where everyone can socialize and feel included. Working with Scarlett makes everything more fun, and our friendship has grown so much through student council. It's really nice having a partner who shares the same values and energy as me! Aside from student council, I am part of the program, Rutgers Future Scholars, National Honors society and during my free time I love to volunteer. I can’t wait to work with all of you to make this school year fun, inclusive, and full of great memories!
