Ms. O’Gorman is in her sixth year at New Brunswick High School, where she brings energy and enthusiasm to her math classroom. This year, she teaches Algebra 1 Lab and Geometry and has previously taught Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 during her time at NBHS. Beyond the classroom, Ms. O’Gorman plays a vital role in the school community as an advisor and as the coach of both the Boys and Girls Varsity Volleyball teams. When she’s not solving equations or coaching on the court, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, and soaking up the sun at the beach.
Greetings and salutations! My name is Joseph Wong and I am a co-advisor for the Class of 2026. I teach Physics and also co-advise the STEM Club. I like "making things", whether it's food, light-up origami, stuffed animals, or wind tunnels and I like messing around to see how things work even more (For Science! of course). Outside of that, you'll most likely catch me playing what's probably a borderline unhealthy amount of video games and practicing kendo (Japanese fencing).
Hi! I’m Emmanuel Preko - a Chemistry teacher and co-advisor for the Class of 2027. As a high school teacher, I consider putting smiles on my students’ faces and motivating them to develop an affinity for learning to be my primary professional objective. Students who enter my class are guaranteed a laugh because I’m always ready to give them a treat, make a funny face, sing, dance, or simply ask them to smile. I am a firm believer that students learn best when they know that somebody truly cares for their well-being. This way, they hold on to hope and faith and, regardless of life’s challenging circumstances, lay aside their worries for a good learning engagement. Being kind to students also paves the way for inclining them toward discipline, perseverance, scholarship and leadership; all attributes that develop their character and moral fiber. The greatest students, in my opinion, are the ones who show promise of honest and high moral stewardship to their communities—not necessarily the most intelligent— though good character contributes to high intelligence, as well. The goal? Raise students who set high standards that would enable them to steer the world in the right direction. I love my job! I love New Brunswick High School and I enjoy all my students each and every day.
My name is LilyAnn Foster-Pereyra, aka Ms. Foster. I am one of the advisors for the Class of 2028. This is my second tour of duty after advising the class of 2024. Obviously having enjoyed the experience so much, I decided to circle back and restart with the Class of 2028 which has turned out to be an amazing experience so far! Aside from being a class advisor, I am a special education teacher primarily in science classes but occasionally testing my mathematical prowess in an Algebra 2 class. In my spare time, you can catch me watching Malcolm in the Middle with my husband and dog, Hershey. I enjoy gardening, crocheting, and any kind of arts and crafts. I can craft anything with enough googling and YouTubing. I am excited to continue getting to know the Class of 2028, especially our amazing class representatives!
Hi! I’m Mrs. Massaro, and I’ve been teaching English here at NBHS for 7 years now. I’m excited to be a co-advisor once again after taking a break from advising after the class of 2023. I’m very much looking forward to having a great four years with a new group of students who are as excited to be a Zebra as I am! In my limited spare time, I love to read, bake (look out for those Cakesicles!), and hang with my doodles. You can find me in C209 almost all the time…stop by and say hi!
My name is Mrs. Tufano, and this is my 19th year teaching and my fourth year in the New Brunswick School District. I chose to become a teacher because I have always known that I wanted to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. Throughout my career, the students and colleagues I have met have challenged me, inspired me, and helped me grow — making me love this profession even more than I ever expected when I first began. In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing on the couch and unwinding. I also love to shop — but that will be our little secret; my husband doesn’t need to know 😉.
