Teaching Partner Week is an opportunity to pair up with a colleague- to visit each other's class(es), provide one another with meaningful feedback on teaching, and to talk about areas of teaching that are interesting to you. This is not a week for evaluation or stinging critique; rather, it’s an opportunity to help a colleague grow and to learn from one another. Teaching Partner Week is open to both full- and part-time faculty and will be a meaningful teaching activity to highlight in your year-end self-evaluation.
Faculty sign up to participate on a Google Form that is sent by the TIIL in March each year, indicating both their teaching strengths and areas of need. The TIIL Coordinator pairs partners based on the strengths and needs indicated.
Teaching Partner Week is a compliment to Open Classroom Week in the TIIL's effort to create a supportive, formative culture of talking about teaching (its successes and challenges) on campus.
