What is it?

Flipgrid is an asynchronous social learning platform that allows educators to ask a question, then the students respond in a video. Students are then able to respond to one another, creating a “web” of discussion (Source)

Why would I use it?

Asynchronous AND face to face! This is the best way (in our opinion) to see and hear students, yet have the ability to approve their posts before others see them.

This is one of our favorites! Here's why...

  • Have students talk through solving a problem (math/science/more)

  • Have expert speakers share knowledge with students (in-house experts OR guest speaker)

  • Listen to choir and band students practice performance pieces.

  • Have students practice world languages, discuss book reviews, participate in (virtual) circle discussions.
