We are exicited to share with you our itinerary for this awesome trip!
DAY 1
Day 1 starts out very early. We will be meeting in a central location to load up our gear in a van and head to our airport whch is a 2 hour drive for us. After flying cross country we have another 3 hour drive to get to Yosemite National Park. Once we get to our destination within Yosemite will be meeing our Educational Guides and start looking at our gear. If time allows before dinner, we will visit some of the Valley's destinations. We will be camping in a front country camp tonight.
DAY 2
Following breakfast and packing-up camp we will be heading up to our trailhead along the Tioga Road. Our first night in the backcountry will be near the top of Yosemite Falls and the junction for El Capitan. After setting up camp and dinner we will be taking in the sunset overlooking the valley.
Day 3
We are hiking without our packs today!! The day hike will take us to the summit of El Capitan...by trail..not by scaling it! Before heading back down to our camp for the night, we will partake in a side-hike to an amazing view at Eagle Peak.
Day 4
Today we make our way to North Dome. Looking forward to this view. We stayed at North Dome our first year with our group and can't wait to share this view and location with this year's group. After lunch we will continue on to our next backcountry site along a creek. I'm sure the group will enjoy a nice cool-off in the water.
Day 5
Snow Creek here we come! This is one of our favorite sites to catch a sunset on Half-Dome. Maybe a little yoga and journal/refection time. A perfect place to spend our last night in the backcountry.
Day 6
After breakfast and packing up we start heading out of the backcountry today. Once back in the valley we will enjoy a wash in the Merced River followed by an afternoon and night exploration within the valley.
Day 7
Early morning pack up and then we are off to the airport for our long flight back to the East Coast!
