Traditional plastic packaging, is made from petroleum-based materials and is not biodegradable. It can take hundreds of years to decompose, and it's a major contributor to plastic pollution in oceans and on land. Only a small fraction of traditional plastic packaging is recycled, most of it ends up in landfills or oceans.
Plast-eco is made by simply including a plastic-eating enzyme during the plastic manufacturing process. This enzyme binds with all the plastic polymers and ensures their decomposition naturally without the release of harmful microplastics.
In terms of sustainability, Plast-eco is considered to be more environmentally friendly than traditional plastic packaging. Plast-eco can break down in a shorter time and with less environmental impact than traditional plastics, also it allows for the recovery of the raw materials and the potential for recycling.
