Pilot-Week 2

K-2nd Grade: Complete 1 time

3rd and 4th Grade: Complete 2 times

5th and 6th Grade: Complete 3 times

Basketball Shooting Practice:

  • Balance (athletic stance- feet apart, knees bent)
  • Eyes (look at your target)
  • Elbow (tuck elbow under the ball -dominant hand)
  • Follow through (fully extend elbow and wrist flicks over)

See how many shots you can make into a hoop or into a hamper/ wash basket. If you make it from that spot 2x move to a new spot.

You may challenge a partner to make the same shot as you.

Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt

Go on a walk/run around your neighborhood and take a picture of the following 10 things then send your pictures to Ms. G and/or Coach Kep

1) Fire Hydrant

2) Electrical box

3) Yellow flower

4) A prius car-any model

5) A bird

6) Speed Bumps

7) Blue or pink colored house

8) Rose Bush

9) Wind Chimes

10) Cactus


<-Junk Yard Dog Challenge: How many rounds can you and your partner do?

(3 jumps =1 round)

(After 5 rounds switch with your partner)

  • Step
  • Swing
  • Bend
  • Roll

Using a ball or a roll of toilet paper see if you can roll the ball to knock over items such as dominos or empty soda bottles. If you can’t do that try rolling the ball into a wash basket/ hamper to see how many times you can score.
