Elemental Science

Intro to Science: The teacher’s guide includes a weekly topic and scripted introduction, experiments from More Mudpies and Magnets, nature study using The Handbook of Nature Study as a guide, plus additional books and activities. Grades K-1.

Biology for the Grammar Stage: The program lays out a 20 week study of animals using the Kingfisher First Encyclopedia of Animals, a 10-week study of the human body using the DK First Human Body Encyclopedia and a 6-week study of plants using Plant Parts from the Life of Plants Series. Grades 1-2.

Earth Science & Astronomy for the Grammar Stage: The program lays out an 18-week study of earth science using the Usborne First Encyclopedia of Our World and an 18-week study of astronomy using the Usborne First Encyclopedia of Space. Grades 2-3.

Chemistry for the Grammar Stage: The program lays out a 20-week study on the periodic table using Fizz, Bubble, Flash which is followed by a 16-week adventure in experimentation guided by Adventures in Atoms and Molecules Book 1 and the Usborne Science Encyclopedia. Grades 3-4.

Physics for the Grammar Stage: The program takes you through an exploration of the principles of physics using Gizmos and Gadgets and Physics Experiments for Children along with the Usborne Science Encyclopedia. Grades 4-5.

Biology for the Logic Stage: The program leads students through a study of plants, animal life, and the human body by digging deeper into what was studied during the elementary years. Grades 5-6.

Earth Science & Astronomy for the Logic Stage: Student assignment sheets lay out the weekly topic to be studied, as well as dates to enter, what to label on the sketch, experiment directions, report options and memory work. Grades 6-7.
