Phonics Readers

Bob Books: starts the earliest readers with carefully chosen letter sounds, words, and short sentences that make learning to read simple and fun. Printable teacher's guides and activities are available from your adviser to supplement the books.

Handprints: collection of storybooks and workbooks are designed to help young children in grades K–1 develop early literacy skills. The storybooks give children practice reading connected text and the workbooks prepare them for unlocking unfamiliar words that they will encounter when reading the stories. Stories reflect the real world students live in and give delightful renditions of family and friends.

Primary Phonics: facilitates individualized instruction through flexible, skills-based workbooks and storybooks that correspond to students’ ability levels. Students are able to work at their own pace and progress from simple to complex phonic elements to become successful readers. Students apply phonic knowledge from the workbooks to read decodable storybooks and then demonstrate comprehension using the Comprehension Workbooks.

Ready Readers: promote literacy and develop students' fluency for Early Emergent, Emergent, Early, and Fluent Readers! Ready Readers was developed by three experts in the field of teaching children to read and write, and is grounded in the developmental stages of reading and writing.

Starfall: Learn to read with Zac the Rat and other stories. These phonics books may be combined with games on the Starfall website and printable worksheets.
