Handwriting

Evan Moor--Daily Handwriting Practice: a handwriting task for each day of the week! Available in Traditional Manuscript, Modern Manuscript, Traditional Cursive, and Contemporary Cursive. Grades K-6.

Handwriting Skills Simplified: six levels of handwriting instruction: basic strokes and manuscript letter formation, manuscript practice and beginning cursive letter formation, cursive instruction, and practice of common errors and cursive fluency. Grades K-6.

Handwriting Without Tears: Some distinctive elements of this program are that it teaches upper case letters before lower case, it teaches groups of letters together that have similar strokes for their formation or the same starting points for their formation, letters are not slanted for either printing or cursive, and multi-sensory learning methods are used for instruction. The style is simpler than traditional cursive, but it differs from the most of the other "simplified cursive" forms in that there is no slant and some of the letters (e.g., "e", "f", and "k") change form from printing to cursive. Books: Letters and Numbers for Me; My Printing Book; Printing Power; Cursive Handwriting; Cursive Success; Can-Do Cursive. Grades K-6.
