Meet the Counselor

Hello, I am Ms. Kelsey! 

I am the school counselor at Star Academy and have been working on campus since November 2023! Previously, I worked in the Davis School District for several years supporting students as a paraeducator and school counseling intern on different campuses. I have also worked in the mental health field as a therapeutic care worker and clinician, serving youth from a variety of backgrounds with significant behavioral and emotional needs. 

I graduated from University of California, Davis with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Education, and earned my Masters Degree in School Counseling from California State University, Sacramento.

I am excited to be here at Star and want to continue to support the needs of the school, staff, students, and families! I am passionate about teaching new skills and developing healthy social/emotional regulation strategies!
