About Me

I am very excited to embark on my second year adventure as a WMS teacher. I teach three sections of Mathematics and one section of Ancient Civilizations.

I received my BA in Elementary Education and Psychology from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI and my MEd in Middle School Mathematics from Lesley University.

For the first seven years of my career, I taught at an all-girls middle school in Lawrence, MA. I have coached softball, basketball, and kickball. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exercising, and relaxing on the beach.

I have always loved numbers and I have always had a passion for helping others. As a grade-school student, math was not usually my best subject, but it was always a subject that I enjoyed. While some math concepts would quickly click with me, others proved to be a real struggle. I know firsthand what it is like to be frustrated in math class; I also understand firsthand the importance of motivation, perseverance, and hard work. Now, as a teacher, I am able to empathize with my students when they encounter those challenging mathematical concepts. I am able to work with my students and guide them through a variety of strategies and methods to ensure their success; and when that success occurs, I am able to celebrate it with them. It is an absolute joy to see a student’s face light up when a complicated math problem has been successfully solved or when a concept has been successfully understood.

I truly love being a member of the WMS community. I have enjoyed meeting so many wonderful students and their families. I look forward to working with all of you and during this school year.
