This is my second year as a part of the Wilson Middle School faculty as a fifth grade math and science teacher on Team Perseverance. I am so excited for another year full of learning, growth, and fun!
Prior to teaching in Natick, I worked in Dorchester as a third grade teacher. This experience allowed me to grow as a teacher in so many ways. I am lucky to be able to carry over so much of what I learned from my previous teaching experience to my position at Wilson.
I am a proud Massachusetts native. I graduated from Westborough High School and continued on to earn my B.A. in Elementary Education and Spanish from Boston College's Lynch School of Education Honors Program, magna cum laude. Go Eagles!
Teaching is my passion. Each year I love getting to know my students and their families, learning students' strengths and areas for growth, and pushing them to realize their full potentials as learners and citizens of the Wilson community. As a teacher, I encourage my students to approach problems in multiple ways and apply many different strategies, to work collaboratively with their peers, to reflect on their work and to set their own personal and academic goals. I feel that this cycle of inquiry allows students to have more authentic learning experiences that they can carry into their lives outside of the classroom.
I am so looking forward to meeting each of you this Fall. If you ever have any questions for me, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
