How Do I Apply To Nash As A Full Time Student?

Students who have taken courses through Career and College Promise who wish to continue studying at Nash Community College must reapply to become a traditional student.  Please see the information below on how to apply.

To apply as a full time student:

1. Create a CFNC.org account.

2. Click on Apply to College and Request an NC Residency Determination.

The NC Residency Determination is how the state of NC shares with the college whether you should be billed for in-state or out-of state tuition.  Make sure to double and triple check every page as you cannot go back once you move forward.  You will need information from your parents in order to complete this step.  Once this is complete you should be given an RCN number.  This does not need to be memorized and will save to your CFNC account.

3. Once this has been completed return to the Apply to College page and click Application Hub.  Start a new application and select Nash Community College.

To apply for FAFSA:

1.  Create a studentaid.gov account for yourself and one parent or guardian.  If you or a parent has ever had an account it will not allow you to create a new account.  If you live with both parents, each parent will need an account.

2. Click Complete the FAFSA Form and use tax information from two years prior (2022 for the 2024-25 academic year).

To apply for scholarships (opens April):

1.  Complete the FAFSA Form for the 2024-25 academic year.

2. Once this has been completed please complete the NCC scholarship application here and indicate that you are a CCP student.
