The New Albany Music Parent Association supports the band, choir, and orchestra programs at all grade levels. NAMPA is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. They provide volunteers, chaperones and aid with supplementing district funding of the programs through fundraisers. Both the band and orchestra programs elect their own slate of officers to oversee program support. Officer groups work collaboratively to administer the organization and oversee support group compliance with NAPLS policies.
The main goals of a this organization is to support the choir program in many ways including, but not limited to:
Fundraising and Financial Support
Organizing fundraisers (dine-to-donate, raffles, concessions, etc.) that will aid in covering the costs for uniforms, transportation, guest clinicians, festivals, trips, and any other “extra” experiences/opprtunities for our students.
Event Support
Decorating performance venues, organizing a donor table at concerts, chaperoning events, organizing end-of-year celebrations.
Advocacy & Promotion
Promoting choir events and helping to organize events for Music in Our Schools Month.
Volunteer Coordination
Sign-ups for concert help, fundraisers, classroom needs, snacks for trips, etc.
