Digital Resource Access

MathXL for School is access via the web through the login page at www.mathxlforschool.com. MathXL for School will not work without access tot he internet. It is important students and teachers are both using MathXL for School and not simply MathXL as the later is designed and set up for college courses.

In order to properly access the resources and platform students will need to first register. To register students will need 3 items;

1. Pearson Student Account

Students will need to have or create a Pearson Student Account to utilize the platform. They will be responsible for knowing and remembering this account. This account can be created during the registration process but it should be noted students should only have to create an account once during their time at NAFCS. Once the account is created it can continued to be used for every year after. If a student has Algebra 1 in 7th grade and they create an account then they can continue to use that same account for the next 6 years. Students will also be able to use this account for MyMathLab, Science Mastering, and Social Studies MyHistoryLab courses. It is recommended students use their full username@student.nafcs.org email for their Pearson Student Account username when creating the account. As well as using their username@student.nafcs.org email instead of a personal email during account creation. For the password for the Pearson Student Account it is recommended to use Nafcs followed by the students graduating year, i.e. Nafcs2020.

*There is one important exception regarding the Pearson account for MathXL for School. If a student is in two course that both utilize MathXL for School, for example an Algebra 1 Class and and Algebra 1 Lab. Students will need to create 2 separate Pearson Student Accounts and register each of those accounts with the Access Code and appropriate Course ID

2. Access Code

The Access Code is a 30 character code provide and is specific to the give school year. Students will need to enter all of this code correctly in order to gain proper access.
