Take care of YOU this school year... here's how:

Daily Promises 💧

• a glass of water in the morning 

• work a little bit on something every day

• take a 10-minute walk outside

• decide to do something and stick to it - you can trust yourself

Self Care 💆‍♀️

• eat foods that nourish you and make you feel good

• listen to and learn about your body and emotions

• MOVE and STRETCH

• create and use a sleep routine

• your body is how you process your entire experience - make sure it's taken care of

Body Sensations 🧘‍♀️

• be still with your body and notice how it responds to your experiences

• say aloud or write it down, "My face feels hot when I am nervous.  My stomach aches when I am anxious.  My chest feels open when I am relaxed and comfortable."

• knowing your body and trusting your feelings will help you discover your true self

Breath 🌬

• set a timer for 1-2 minutes every day to pay attention to the breath

• use guided meditations and visualizations

• notice (without judgment) your body's sensations, your thoughts, your feelings

• deep breathing allows you to understand your nervous system - the system that connects all others

Play 🤸‍♂️

• play a game or a match

• really, truly dance around like no one is watching

• sing or shout out a song

• do some version of your favorite childhood activities

• play teaches our body how to recover from stress and make connections with others
