Meet Your Elementary School Counselor:
Hello! My name is Jana Monat and I am thrilled to be your Elementary School Counselor. I have actually been a teacher at North Tama for many years. Over the past many years, I have taught junior high special education and 4th grade.
I truly love working with students, parents, and teachers to help support student’s personal, social, and academic growth. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me. I am always here to help!
My Role as the Elementary School Counselor:
Deliver Social Emotional Learning (SEL) instruction in the classroom
Individual Counseling
Small Group Counseling
Daily check-ins with students and teachers
Referral assistance to community resources
