Scope of Submissions

Abstracts are welcome under, but not limited to, the following thematic areas:

• Seismic interpretation and structural geology

• Reservoir characterization

• Petroleum systems modelling

• Exploration case studies

2) Alternative & Renewable Energy

• Gas-to-power

• Geothermal energy

• Carbon capture and storage

• Natural hydrogen systems

• Water-energy nexus

• Environmental geoscience

3) Energy Systems & Innovation

• Digital geoscience applications

• Subsurface modelling

• AI and data-driven exploration

• Energy economics and policy

4) Student Research

Postgraduate and advanced undergraduate research aligned with geo-energy systems.

Abstract Guidelines

Authors must adhere strictly to the following:

• Maximum length of 250 words

• Language: English (United Kingdom)

• Title: Clear and concise

• Author names and institutional affiliations required

• Indicate the presenting author

• Abstract must clearly state:

i) Background and Context

ii) Objectives

iii) Methods

iv) Key results

v) Implications

Submissions that do not meet formatting or thematic criteria may not be considered.

Review Process

All submissions will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee based on:

(i) Relevance to workshop themes

(ii) Scientific and technical quality

(iii) Originality

(iv) Practical or strategic significance

Authors will be notified of acceptance status via email.

Publication and Permissions

Accepted abstracts will be compiled into the official Workshop Abstract Booklet.

By submitting, authors grant permission for their abstract to be published in the digital conference proceedings and on the workshop webpage.
