Mentoring students through their research journeys and watching them develop in this stage of their careers has been among the most rewarding aspects of my academic career. The photo below is a group of our students attending the 2024 South African Statistical Association (SASA) conference. At some point in my career, I either taught (undergraduate or postgraduate) or supervised each one of these students. What an exceptional honour.
