Saving VEXcode Projects
One you have written your code and you are ready to download your program to the brain, you will first need to save the project to your computer first.
You can save your project in different ways:
Selecting 'Save' in the File menu.
2. Downloading a new project
3. Naming a new project by selecting the project name window.
By doing any of these above, you will be prompted to name and choose the location where the file will be stored on your computer.
Begin by naming the project by typing in the device's save dialog window.
and then select the destination such as Downloads folder.
TIP: Saving to your 'Desktop' is better on TUSD devices as the Downloads folder may be erased when you sign out.
Then click 'Save'.
The updated project name will now be visible in the project name window. Once a project is saved, VEXcode V5 will automatically save all changes in a project.
Note: Whenever there is an unsaved project, VEXcode V5 will prompt users to save their work if the user attempts to:
Close VEXcode V5
Create a new project
Open another project
You can also use the ‘Save As’ option from the File menu to make a copy of a project under a different name or in a different location.
