VEX V5 is the 5th generation of education robotics systems developed by VEX Robotics. The parts of your VEX Robotics kit that are considered V5 are described below.
The V5 Brain is the most important and expensive part of the robot. It is where code is stored and where all electronic components are connected including motors and sensors.
V5 Motors connect to the brain using smart cables. These motors will automate your projects once you have downloaded code into the brain in order to control their movements.
Sensors, shown to the right, also connect to the brain using a 3 wire port on the side. You will be using different sensors in the projects found in this unit.
