Part of District 885's efforts to achieve its mission and attain its vision is to "cultivate family and community connections and increase advocacy in support of the district mission", as well as to "engage in the continuous improvement of student support systems and programs." In that effort, we invite parents/guardians and staff members to get involved. Volunteer. Participate. Get informed. Ask questions.
There are many ways that you can get involved and make a difference, and your involvement may vary depending on your comfort level.
In addition to things like reading (or sending) classroom/school newsletters and/or emails, here are a few ways that you might consider getting involved. They're in order from local to state to national levels--but beyond that, they're in no particular order of importance. Choose to get involved today.
Stay connected. Most of the schools have multiple ways for folks to stay connected, including a Facebook page, a Twitter account, a Seesaw and/or Google Classroom account, Remind, and more. Some parents even start a Facebook page specific to a graduating class (and they start the group as early as kindergarten).
