World History-11th Grade

Course Overview

11th grade World History covers areas starting with the Ice Man, then on to Romans, Greeks, China and other early civilizations. We then get into how certain religions, countries, governments grew out of these early civilizations. Immigration and technology of these civilizations is the next area we cover and then we look at monarchies in western Europe and dynasties throughout Asia. World wars will be viewed all the way to our present day history.

Students will receive a course syllabus and rules packet on the first day. A parent/guardian and student need to sign the rules back sheet, bring the sheet back by the designated time and he/she will receive 5 bonus points.

Sacred Heart uses PowerSchool, an online learning management system. For assistance with login user name and password, please contact the office. In addition to a variety of other features, parents and students can use PowerSchool to look at scores for assessments. While grades will be updated regularly, please note that grades are not updated instantly the moment an assessment is turned in. If there is a question or need for a most up-to-date grade report, students and parents can contact me directly. Below are indicators/symbols you may see in PowerSchool.
