Welcome to U.S. History-7th Grade

Course Overview

This is 7th grade U.S. History. We start at early Native Americans, colonization, American Revolution, the Constitution and forming of our government. We go on a journey of how our country grew and why it grew westward and the wars and battles along the way. We study the Civil War and may get to Reconstruction.

On the first day of class your child will be bringing home a course syllabus and classroom rules, which needs to be signed and dated by both a parent/guardian and the student. The student will receive 5 bonus points if the signed paper is brought back by the designated time.

Online Gradebook/PowerSchool
Sacred Heart uses PowerSchool, an online learning management system. For assistance with login user name and password, please contact the office. In addition to a variety of other features, parents and students can use PowerSchool to look at scores for assessments. While grades will be updated regularly, please note that grades are not updated instantly the moment an assessment is turned in. If there is a question or need for a most up-to-date grade report, students and parents can contact me directly. Below are indicators/symbols you may see in PowerSchool.
