Writing to Inform: Book Chapter 

In lesson 5, students will learn about informational writing, specifically a book chapter, and then write their own book chapters. 

What is informational writing?

Informational writing gives readers information about a specific topic or idea. A literary analysis writer details from a literary text to support his or her ideas about an element of a text. 

Examples of Informational Writing

nonfiction books, magazine articles, literary analysis essays, textbooks, how-to-texts, reports.
