What is the Cost for Preschool?
In order to register your child(ren) for Preschool, there is a $50 non-refundable registration fee. Preschool fees are considered a child-care expense and may be used as a child-care deduction on your taxes (refer to CRA guidelines for more information). Receipts are issued in February of each year.
Fees for the 2025-26 year are as follows:
$1,400 for the year for 2 days per week, with the option to pay over 10 months
$1,500 for the year for 3 days per week, with the option to pay over 10 months.
Can my child join mid-year?
Registrations are accepted for children who are 3 years of age or older. We do accept mid-year registrations if there is a spot available and your child is fully toilet-trained (no pull-ups), and provided enrollment is prior to February 28th.
What is the typical class size?
Our class sizes are limited to 12 students for our morning 3-4 year old classes, and 14 students for our afternoon 4-5 year-olds.
We have an educational assistant in all our classes to assist the preschool teacher.
After I register, will there be an orientation for me and my child?
Yes. Preschool orientation takes place in September, before classes start. During the summer, you should receive an email indicating the date and time of your orientation. During the orientation, parents will be provided with necessary information about preschool, including a calendar for the year. Children and parents will have an opportunity to meet the teacher and see the classroom.
I don’t attend a church, can my child still attend?
Our Preschool program is open to everyone, regardless of faith background. As a Christian preschool, we teach biblical principles, share Bible stories, pray with the children and sing worship songs. Children will be encouraged to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Will my child be automatically enrolled in Kindergarten at RCS if they attend RCS Preschool?
Our Preschool program is separate from our K to 12 admission process, so students are NOT automatically enrolled in our Kindergarten. In order to be considered for admission to RCS, parents must be committed practicing Christians who regularly attend church and are able to obtain a pastoral reference. If you are interested in applying for kindergarten, please contact the Development Director at development@myrcs.org to get information on the admission requirements.
