Vehicle Dynamics is a critical factor in any car, and during the furlough period, I began to read up on this to get a better fundamental understanding of the performance comprimises we had made in our design.
A large part of this was creating the 'vehicle dynamics dossier' which allowed me to quickly evaluate the general constraints of the vehicle and understand the affects of changing the properties of the vehicle.
Building up this model from fundamental principles has greatly enhanced my appreciation for vehicle dynamics, and whilst it may not be the most elaborate model, it served as a learning experience for me, and remains a useful tool for the team to use.
