Dear Fair Directors and Fair Contacts,
Society for Science would like to invite you, your colleagues, and any teachers you work with to attend our Middle School Research Teachers Conference. Since it will be hosted virtually, August 2-4, we have opened it up to anyone with an interest in supporting middle school STEM research projects. Please register to attend if you have interest and availability and we will host some special sessions just for fair directors.
The conference will include:
Plenary Sessions – Learn more about the Society, our programs, and our sponsors.
Teacher-to-teacher Sessions – Participate in workshops, view presentations, and hear panel discussions led by fellow teachers.
The Crew – Enter the lottery to receive additional programming, swag, and invitations to special virtual social events. This group will also receive a $250 tech kit (yours to keep) to ensure a full conference experience.
$725 STEM Research Kits – Apply to receive $725 in take-home STEM equipment for students, including Arduinos, camera traps, and PocketLabs.
Fireside Chats – Gather in small groups to chat in detail on specific topics or with teachers in similar settings.
Participant Exhibit Hall – Create your own exhibit booth to share stories, advice, and resources, or wander the hall connecting with peers, meeting our sponsor, and collecting ideas.
Social Events – Join us for a happy hour merry-go-round, game night, and more! The Crew can also join a papercraft event and murder mystery night.
