First Grade Supply List

• Backpack (labeled with child's name, no wheels)

• Plastic pencil case

• 10 No. 2 wooden pencils (not mechanical, please)..bonus point if they are sharpened

• 2 big, pink erasers

• 24 Box of Crayons

• Glue sticks (at least 3)

• 3 Expo erase markers (no Crayola or Crazy Art brand)

• 2 Highlighters

• 1 pair of Scissors

• Headphones or earbuds (if you would prefer to have your own) in a plastic bag

• Lanyard for your lunch card

• Water bottle (labeled)

• Optional: An old (clean) sock or glove to use as a marker board eraser

All supplies should fit nicely in your child’s pencil box.

Please remember that we use these supplies daily, and they are NOT intended to last all year. Your child’s teacher will try to send a note when your child needs supplies replaced; however, they usually will let you know themselves!

Your child does NOT need...

• a pencil sharpener

• colored pencils/markers

• notebook

• folder

First Day of School

The first day of school will be Monday, August 31, 2020 (For students attending M/Tues) and Thursday, September 3, 2020 (For students attending Thurs/Fri)

(Virtual) Meet the Teacher

This year we have scheduled a virtual Meet the Teacher Night on Wednesday, August 26th from 6PM-7PM. Please email me at lschuster@nlsd.org to receive a virtual invite link. You and your child are invited to join in this virtual meeting where you will get to meet me, your teacher, and find out more about the things we will be learning this year! We will also talk more about how our hybrid school model will work and how students will be participating on the days they are not physically in school.
