All Programs and Services have an open registration online starting the first week of September. To apply go to hiring.yourstudentsunion.ca and view the available positions. Once you have found a position you like apply to it using STARR format.
The EcoHawks is an enthusiastic team whose purpose is to advocate proper sustainability practices for the student body at Laurier. Our mission is to see all students become advocates of a healthy environment and be the change they want to see in the world.
The Food Bank provides a complimentary parcel service for all Undergraduate students that can be requested and available for pick up within a quick turnaround. This service is here to support the dietary and nutritional needs of Laurier students. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated, and food packages typically last up to a week or more. There is NO financial need required for this service but it is limited to 3 parcels/term (Waterloo) or 5 parcels/terms (Brantford). It is available year round.

Foot Patrol is a volunteer operated safe-walk program, available daily during evening hours. Teams of two are assigned to escort students to and from campus by foot or by van. All teams are equipped with two-way radio, flashlight and first aid kit. All Foot Patrol volunteers are certified with emergency first aid training for efficient safety service across the Laurier campus.

Healthy Lifestyles is a service committed to the education, training and support of post-secondary students with regards to healthy practices and responsible decision making. We create engaging, thought-provoking campaigns on campus wherein students have the opportunity to learn about a variety of topics including, but not limited to, alcohol awareness, sexual consent, social norms, stress relief and physical health.
O-Week is a week long event of programming for first year students! Many volunteers are needed to help make O-Week a success such as Icebreakers! If you are interested in being an Icebreaker let Haley know and he will advise you on when applications have opened.
Peer Connect is a committee that addresses mental health by promoting a balanced lifestyle for all students. We run campaigns of mental health, stress relief and healthy body care.
Shinerama is Canada’s largest post-secondary fundraiser, originating at Wilfrid Laurier University in 1961. Each year students continue to raise funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, Canada’s most common fatal genetic disease. The Shinerama committee hosts fundraising events throughout the year, but the largest event is at the end of Laurier Orientation Week – Shine Day.
The Student Rights Advisory Committee exists to provide you with information about your rights when it comes to landlord-tenant issues. While in no way legal representation, it can help to inform you about your options in order to make difficult situations easier to navigate.
